If you said yes to more than two of these, keep reading.
You've been running regularly for a while but somehow you're not getting any faster, and you're not quite sure what you're doing wrong.
You start a training plan with good intentions, but by week two the strength and mobility work is already getting skipped.
You've downloaded a free PDF plan or used a running app, and while it started okay, it didn't take long before you fell off track or got injured.
You want to fuel properly around your runs but you're not sure what to eat, when to eat it, or how to stop feeling guilty about eating more.
You want to run a half marathon and actually enjoy it. Not just survive it. But standing on the start line feeling calm and prepared seems a long way off.
It may have to do with the format.
A free PDF plan from the internet is easy to download... and easy to forget. There's no one paying attention to whether you showed up. No one that can help you adjust the plan when life gets in the way. The PDF doesn't care. And when you fall off track, there's no one pulling you back.
An app's algorithm doesn't know you. It doesn't know you had a terrible week or that you felt a niggle in your knee on Tuesday. There's no coach that will answer your questions about nutrition or mindset, or help you figure out what to do when things go sideways.
I see it all the time. Strength and mobility are always the first thing to go. They're just so easy to skip. But skipping it consistently is exactly why those small niggles turn into injuries that set you back weeks. That's why we do live strength and mobility sessions in this program.
If you can afford a personal running coach who writes your plan, checks in every week, and adjusts everything in real time, that's great. But most people can't. I fully understand this and that's exactly why I developed this coaching program. It's kind of like a hybrid.
Most runners who don't hit their goal are missing a combination of these things.
This isn't 1:1 coaching, but it's not just an algorithm either. If you get injured, sick or are dealing with something at work and need your plan adjusted, you can ask me directly. Not sure whether to push through or take a break? I'm one message away. Need help with nutrition, mindset, or your running form? Post it on our forum and I'll answer your questions twice a week.
This is where the program is different from anything app-based. Two live group sessions every week with your coach (that's me!), focused on the strength and mobility work runners actually need. All you have to do is show up and do the work. Everything can be done at home without equipment. There's a library of past sessions too, so if you miss one, you can still catch up.
Something magical happens when you stop training solo and start training together. Questions? Post them in the forum. I answer personally twice a week, and everyone in the program benefits from the answer too. Sometimes other runners will jump in and answer your question as well. Besides that, there are monthly webinars (with Q&A) on specific topics like nutrition, pacing, mindset and race prep.
Everything in one place, from day one.
Matched to your current fitness after you fill in a short onboarding form. Loaded into the Final Surge app, which automatically syncs to your watch every day and tracks your runs. Something interfering with your plan? No problem, you can easily move a scheduled run to another day.
The sessions runners actually need. All can be done at home without equipment. These sessions are scheduled on your training plan, and happen live with a group. Plus access to a full library of all previous sessions so you can always catch up.
Every month, I host a session on a specific topic, such as race nutrition, pacing strategy, or training through fatigue. Followed by a live Q&A where you can ask anything. Recordings available afterwards.
Post your question in the forum and I will answer personally, twice a week. Sometimes other runners will know the answer or have suggestions and reply to your question too. You also get to learn from the questions other runners are asking.

My third half marathon, Lisbon, October 2024. I hit the wall completely. Missed my goal, felt awful, and honestly just wanted to disappear. It wasn't a fitness problem. It was everything else.
"Caroline's support was incredibly personal. We worked through the app FinalSurge, and my schedule was adapted around real life when necessary. The workouts were thoughtful and specific, including strength, mobility, and flexibility."
"Apart from the logistical coaching, she was my biggest cheerleader from the first training run to the race finish line. I knew she had my back, and I genuinely believe it was her coaching that gave me one of my favourite race experiences ever."
No sales call. No hidden extras. Everything included from day one.

If the plan is working and you're improving, honestly, great. This program is for runners who feel like something is missing: accountability, strength work they'll actually do, proper support when something goes wrong, and a group to train alongside. If the app is ticking all of those boxes, you're probably fine. If it's not, that's what this is for.
Define serious runner! The fact that you're looking at this page makes you a "serious runner". Anywho, the program is for runners who want to improve and run a half marathon they're proud of. You don't need to be fast. You don't need to have run one before. You just need to want to do it properly, stay injury-free, and enjoy the process.
Your running plan will vary depending on where you are in training, but typically 3-5 runs per week. On top of that, the two live strength and mobility sessions are each around 30-40 minutes. If you can't make one live, you can do it from the library whenever suits you.
DM me and I, Caroline, will adjust your plan. This is one of the things that makes this different from an app. Life happens. Injuries happen. Your plan doesn't have to fall apart when they do. I will be there to discuss your next steps with you.
It's not. Full 1:1 coaching is more personal and more involved. This program is for runners who want something significantly better than an app or a PDF, at a price that makes sense. If you want full 1:1 attention, that's a different conversation and a different price point.
8 weeks is the minimum to see real progress. 12 weeks is where things start to feel solid. 16 weeks gives you the full picture. This is why the quarterly option is the recommended option if you have a specific race in mind.
That's no problem at all. If your race is a long way off, you'll start with a base building phase where we gently bring your mileage up and get you into a steady rhythm. Then, as your race gets closer, we move into the more specific half marathon training.
Building this way is one of the best things you can do for your running. It lets you settle into a routine, build your fitness steadily rather than rushing it, and it lowers your risk of injury along the way. By the time the focused half marathon work begins, you'll already have a strong foundation to build on.
You'll need to download the Final Surge app, which is free. It syncs your plan to most GPS running watches. If you don't have a GPS watch, you can still run to the plan manually. No other paid tools are needed.
There's a 7-day trial. If at the end of the first week you feel like this isn't right for you, you can simply cancel your subscription, and you won't be charged. No questions asked.
